I have a small problem with my Nissan Sunny 1.4L

My step mother took her three sons to the beach in it. She thought it would be fun to take it onto the beach. Until she got it stuck in the sand and the tide came in. By the time the tide went out again, it was almost in a major shipping lane.

We have retreived the car but it's in a very sorry state. There is sand and water everywhere. I've pured boiling water onto the battery terminals to prevent further corrosion there, but I don't really know how to proceed from here to get it running again. It's not worth much, so I don't really want to spend a lot on it, but it is a good little car and I really want to get it going again.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Taz
