Hi, could anybody help me? I've noticed that when my engine is running i get noise through my sound system! I think I've read that this can be fixed... I can't remember where, how is it?

More that likely it's your altinator but just rev the engine and if it gets stonger it is!!
The main problem is that power cables are near signal leads.
You have to have you RCA's on the oppisate side of the car the the power and ground cables.

Yeah, it must be the alternator then... my leads are on opposite sides... how can I fix it?

is it to do with the electric "signals" given off by the alternator interfering with the sound cables? spurious oscillations, induced current or summat... i should stick to monosyllabic words. lol.

Yeah, solved... My ground cable was not really fastened on properly. got a new bit of quality cable in. tis good now.

Try ground loop isolaters in the RCA's. These cut 90% of noises.
